It aims to increase public awareness on the importance of proper nutrition, regular growth monitoring, and the prevention of malnutrition among children aged 0–59 months. During the civic parade, nutrition staff, Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), and volunteers proudly carried banners and educational materials emphasizing key messages such as the importance of balanced meals following Pinggang Pinoy, exclusive breastfeeding for infants, proper complementary feeding, and healthy lifestyle practices for families. Informational materials were distributed to everyone to educate them on growth monitoring schedules and the availability of nutrition programs and services in the municipality.
The participation of the Taytay Nutrition Office in the Hamaka Civic Parade demonstrated the municipality’s strong and unified commitment to combating malnutrition and advancing public health. With the leadership and support of the municipal officials, the Nutrition Office remains steadfast in its mission to ensure that every child in Taytay achieves optimal growth and development.
This activity was conducted through the initiative and full support of Mayor Allan Martine De Leon, MPA, Vice Mayor Jan Victor Cabitac, and the 13th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, whose continued commitment to public health programs reinforces the local government’s efforts in addressing malnutrition and promoting the welfare of every Taytayeño.
