National Women's Month 2021
Base on an article published at Philippine Commission on Women's website, the 2021 National Women’s Month Celebration serves as a tribute, a platform, and a call to action that highlights the extraordinary roles of ordinary Juanas in the society as trailblazers and harbingers of change. This celebration is also a venue to discuss and address the issues that women continue to face so empowerment can be fully achieved. The campaign is also a call for concrete, sustainable, and inclusive actions towards gender equality.
A woman's strength is tested whenever they face life's trials and difficulties. In this time of pandemic and drastic transformation to the new normal, women play a vital role to the community as nurses, doctors, employees, and mothers.
In line with this, the Taytay, Rizal LGU headed by Hon. George Ricardo R. Gacula II, Honorable Vice Mayor Michell Bermundo, and the 11th Sangguniang Bayan together with Gender and Development Office headed by Ms. Gianne Yupangco, and Taytay Public Information Office, joins the nation in celebrating this year's Women's month with the theme: "Juana Laban sa Pandemya: Kaya!"
