Paghahanda sa Kinabukasan Begins!
The Smile Taytay Training Institute, in partnership with the Taytay Youth Development Office, Department of Science and Technology (DOST) - Rizal, and former and current DOST–SEI Scholars, successfully conducted three (3) batches of General Orientation for the Free DOST–SEI Scholarship Test and College Entrance Examination Review Program last December 5, 2025.
Nearly 200 aspiring scholars from 18 public and private institutions in Taytay and nearby communities participated—each one taking an important step toward becoming future scientists, innovators, and university-ready achievers.
We were honored by the presence of our esteemed lecturers — Mr. Arvin Bautista, LPT; Ms. Sofia Atienza, LPT (Top 2, LEPT); Ms. Roxan Arevalo, LPT; Engr. Russell Mae Hernandez; and Ms. Jellome Binamira, LPT — all distinguished former DOST–SEI Scholars who delivered heartfelt messages of inspiration as they officially welcomed Batch Sinag: The First Beam of Hope.
We also extend our deepest appreciation to Dr. Ma. Catriona Devanadera of the University of the Philippines – Los Baños for sharing her empowering message that further motivated our youth to pursue excellence and purpose.

The program culminated in the Ceremonial Pledge of Commitment, where our pilot batch fully embraced the spirit of “Beam with Hope.” In this pledge, Batch Sinag vowed to be “a light in the midst of challenges, a source of hope for our families, and a promise of a brighter future for our community.”
Today marks the official beginning of Batch Sinag’s journey toward passing the DOST–SEI Scholarship Examination and various College Entrance Tests — confidently declaring: “I will pass the DOST–SEI Scholarship Examination; I will enter the gates of my chosen University.”
A brighter future shines from here.
