Empowering Equality: Launch of Taytay’s Physical GAD Corner

The Municipal Government of Taytay, Rizal, through its Gender and Development (GAD) Office, formally inaugurated the Physical GAD Corner during the Flag Raising Ceremony last June 8, 2026. This milestone marks the municipality’s continued commitment to advancing gender equality and empowering every Taytayeño through accessible information and advocacy.
The establishment of the GAD Corner serves as a tangible platform for promoting awareness and understanding of gender-related programs, policies, and initiatives. It provides with educational materials, advocacy leaflets, and updates on ongoing projects that uphold inclusive governance and equal opportunity for all.
This initiative aligns with PCW Memorandum Circular No. 2025‑05 and the PCW‑DILG‑DBM‑NEDA Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2024‑01, which reinforce the importance of gender mainstreaming across all levels of local government. By institutionalizing the GAD Corner, Taytay ensures that gender perspectives are integrated into planning, implementation, and evaluation processes—strengthening the municipality’s role as a model of responsive and equitable public service.
During the launch, the Gender and Development Office proudly presented the newly installed bulletin board located at the atrium of the Taytay Municipal Hall beside Assessor's Office, featuring colorful displays and informative materials.
The GAD corner stands as a symbol of Taytay’s dedication to fostering a community where empowerment, respect, and equality thrive, its vision of a progressive and inclusive Taytay.
