The face-to-face campaign, which is one of the strategy to gather the votes from the constituents, may have ban due to the pandemic.

Base on an article published by Philstar Global, the Commission On Elections (COMELEC) is eyeing a ban on this kind of campaigning for the upcoming 2022 general elections.

COMELEC Spokesman James Jimenez said in a television interview that as far as the COMELEC is concerned, the pandemic won’t be over for quite a while. He said that there will be a change in the campaigning landscape, like giving out campaign materials or going out and talking to people face-to-face. Door-to-door campaigns might be prohibited

He said that the poll body is making preparations based on the assumption that the pandemic would “still (be) around” during the elections.
