LTO's New License Plates for Motorcycles

Last August 27, 2020, the Land Transportation Office(LTO) has started the distribution of the new license plates for motorcycles. First batch of the plates were distributed to selected motorcycles at their regional office in Quezon City(LTO National Capital Region West [LTO-NCR West]), base on Philippine News Agency's article.


Regional director Clarence Guinto of LTO-NCR West says that there were a total of 70,000 motorcycle plates that are ready for distribution to motorcycle dealers and owners.

The new license plates has its new features which includes RFID sticker, QR Code, and reflectorized sheeting. Compliant with the requirements of Republic Act (RA) 11235 known as the “Motorcycle Crime Prevention Act” signed by President Rodrigo Duterte last March 8, 2019.
