Metro Rail Transit (M.R.T) 4 as a band-aid to traffic

The Metro Rail Transit 4 (M.R.T 4) is the new  rail transit system in the country which will serve passengers from the western part of the Metro Manila to the eastern part and vice versa.

 

On a letter received and addressed to the honorable mayor, the letter contains the request of endorsement from the LGU in order to secure the clearance of the Regional Development Council(R.D.C) for the project. This project is already approved by the NEDA Investments Coordination Committee-Cabinet Committee (ICC-CabCom) during a meeting last December 20, 2019, as mentioned by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) on a statement dated December 31, 2019.

 

The construction of P 59.3-Billion rail line will be funded by the official development assistance from the Asian Development Bank. The line will compose of 11 stations, which will traverse the densely populated areas of the metro, specifically Quezon and San Juan City, Mandaluyong City, Pasig City - to the densely populated municipalities of Cainta and Taytay in the province of Rizal, catering 234,433 passengers as projected. The construction the line will start by next year. 

 

 

In a report last February 16, 2020, an interview with Hon. George Ricardo Gacula II, Mayor of Taytay Municipality, he says that we are preparing and studying for it along with Hon. Rebecca Ynares, Governor for Rizal Province, Honorable Mayors Johnielle Keith Pasion Nieto and Andrea Ynares of the Cainta Municipality and Antipolo City, with Hon. Vico Sotto of Pasig City.

 

Honarable Mayor George also says that it will be a band-aid solutions that will include the traffic along Ortigas that has been plaguing our province for more than 50 years to the commuters and passers by. Travellers from Bicol and Quezon province passes through our back door, via Pililla, Antipolo, Teresa and down to Taytay.

  

This line will be passing thru the M.R.T 3 which is located along Edsa. The last 2 stations will be located in N. Domingo street in San Juan City, which is near the L.R.T 2 Gilmore Station, and Taytay Station which is near the fabulous Tiangge.

 

As of now the rail lines that are being serve are the M.R.T 3, which is traversing along Edsa, L.R.T 2 or the Santolan - Recto Line, and L.R.T. 1 which is the Monumento - Baclaran Line. The last two stations that are metioned will be extended and adding some stations.
